CPAPs are Recyclable—Donate or Sell Your Old CPAP and Put it to Good Use

Using a CPAP can be a lifesaver for sleep apnea patients. But what do you do with the device once you no longer need it? Perhaps you upgrade to a different device, for example, or you have surgery to correct the sleep apnea.

Second Wind CPAP in Minnesota tests, cleans and resells used machines. The company is a small family-owned business that was founded and operates under a licensed, nationally certified respiratory therapist. They specialize in quality discounted factory refurbished and used CPAP and BiPAP equipment for sleep apnea patients who are forced to pay out-of-pocket and simply can’t afford them.

What will Second Wind CPAP accept? They can’t take a CPAP that doesn’t work or is 10 years old or older. If your device has been used for 500 or fewer hours, is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition, and has not been exposed to cigarette smoke, Second Wind CPAP may be interested in purchasing it.

If they can’t make an offer on your device because of age or hours used, you can consider donating it. Second Wind CPAP also works with the American Sleep Apnea Association to provide free CPAP devices through clinics, hospitals and doctor’s offices across the United States. The Reggie White Foundation as well as MedWish International take donated CPAP equipment too.
