Can you imagine going to a kiosk to determine if you have sleep apnea? Well, on March 1 in Singapore, the first self-assessment kiosk was installed to help people do just that. They plan to install kiosks in hospitals island-wide for people to find out if they’re at risk for obstructive sleep apnea.
In Singapore about 15% of the population suffer from sleep apnea and as awareness of the disorder grows, so will the expected number of patients. Not only that, the healthcare and well-being company Philips will launch the self-assessment service through a web portal at www.areyousnoring.com on March 31.
