Finding the Perfect Bed Can Alleviate Lack of Sleep Caused by Your Partner

One in three Americans reported their partner’s sleep habits affect their own sleep according to a Better Sleep Council 2007 survey. Whether it’s snoring, tossing and turning, or a multitude of other habits, lots of couples struggle to get a good night’s sleep.

As reported recently on ABC News, Christopher Grubb, an interior designer who has appeared on HTV, helps clients find solutions so they can enjoy sleeping in the same room again. He suggests sheets with a high thread count to maximize comfort, a mid-weight comforter to balance different temperature preferences, and beds that cater to each person’s different needs.

Another solution he suggests are beds that cater to each person’s needs. That might explain why Select Comfort, which makes the Sleep Number bed, continues to do so well.  According to a February 14, 2011, article in Furniture World Magazine, Select Comfort Corporation reported a net sales increase of 11% in the first quarter of 2011.

But Grubb actually recommends a bed base sold by Leggett & Platt that is similar to two side-by-side hospital beds each with separate functions. That way partners can choose their preferred mattress firmness, raise and lower them independently and more. This bed actually looks like the Cadillac of beds. It has a snore feature that lets one partner reposition their sleeping partner to alleviate the disturbing snores, two-way Wi-Fi remote control with LED screen and clock, and a gentle wake alarm that uses light massage to awaken you.

Amazing.
